Sorry it has been so long...

Life has really been very busy for us. I feel like a chicken with her head cut off. School ended about a week and half ago and it has been super nice! I did pretty well this semester. I got 2 A's, 1 A-, and a B+. I feel pretty confident about those grades. I am hoping that next semester brings great things as well. I am taking some upper division Social Work classes that I am pretty excited for. I am happy to have a little break before school starts up again. I am catching up on things that I have neglected for a little bit. Oh and I did want to mention that I am going to be an aunt! Ashley is having a baby sometime in July! Super excited.

We did close on our house on October 7th!! It has been so nice to have a home that we can call OURS!! We did a little touch up on it when we got the keys. We painted the family room and our bedroom. I will have to post pictures soon but I don't have my camera on me. We are planning on finishing an unfinished room down by the crawl space here in the next little bit. Still trying to get on settled in. Donnie's brother has been living with us since about the middle of October so that has been fun...

A couple of weeks ago I went with Maurie to Britt and Andy's house and made gingerbread houses, well more like graham cracker houses. It was so much fun. Brittany definitely had the best house. She had a swimming pool, a hot tub, and even a satellite dish. Those little ginger people are so lucky! My house ended up looking like a mobile home! Here are a few pictures to show how much fun we had!

Maure and I on our date!!

Maurie and her CUTE house!

Doesn't Britt's look amazing?

It is the perfect time of year to have friends over and celebrate the Christmas Season. Last week we had a party at our house and it was a lot of fun. I made some home made chicken noodle soup, and a big shout out to my husband who made the delicious noodles by hand!!! We played some fun games, and frosted some sugar cookies. It was so great to have everyone together!!

All the crazy girls!! :) Love you all!

The Group!!

Isn't he just the cutest!

Donnie and I recently added a new member to our family. I was out shopping with my parents on Saturday and I saw the pet adoption sign at Petsmart as we drove pass so Melissa and I decided we would go look around. Well we saw this cute beagle that looked so sad in here cage so we took her our of the cage and walked her around the store and I FELL in love with her. So I asked Donnie if we could get her and he couldn't resist so we now are the proud parents of a beagle named Sassy! She is so cute and so much fun!!

Isn't she the cutest!!

Well I hope I can keep on top of things and update a little more. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! :)

NEW HOME!

We have officially moved out of our apartment that we lived in for just a little over a year. We enjoyed our ward up there and I am really going to miss the friends that I have made. On Monday we got everything moved out and yesterday we cleaned the apartment. It is ready to turn back in to them. Hoping that we get all of our deposit back.
We have found THE house! We are probably going to close on it October 13th and move in the 16th! We are so super excited! I thought I had a picture of the house but I was mistaken. If you get a chance you can drive past it. The address is 5702 S 4050 W Roy. It is down by the posse grounds! :) It is a cute little house. A perfect starter home. It needs a little repair work but nothing big. We have worked really hard to get to this point and I am so EXCITED!
Donnie ran the Top of Utah Marathon a couple of weeks ago and did awesome. We went up the night before and stayed with our good friends Jake and Kylee. They were so nice to let us sleep in their bed so that Donnie could get a good nights rest. We woke up at about 4 that Saturday morning and ran to get some breakfast which was kind of difficult because Donnie had left his wallet at the Wood's. We finally were able to get him to breakfast and then to the starting line. I dropped him off and went and relaxed in the car until my parents showed up. We went up the canyon to see him and it was freezing, the wind was blowing so hard. When we saw him in the canyon it was about mile 14 and he was looking really strong. We then drove up to about mile 18 and there he looked pretty sore. His knee was giving him a hard time but he was able to get it bandaged and he kept on trucking along. We then saw him about mile 25 and he looked exhausted but he was almost finished. We hurried to the finish line and watched him pass the line! He finished in 4 hours 1 min and 3 sec. He did so amazing! Blake who is pretty much my brother finished just ahead of Donnie. It was fun being able to see the both of them. Blake didn't feel to good at the end and had to get some fluids and then he felt a lot better. Donnie's parents and sister met him at the finish line which was way great! I have some pictures that I will have to post later I don't have my camera. We went back to the Wood's and Donnie took an ice bath. Let's just say he didn't enjoy it very much. We then stopped and saw Kylee at the library and took off home. We stopped and ate lunch at the Old Grist Mill. It was absolutely divine!
As soon as we get moved into the house I will post pictures! Love you all!

LIFE!

Sometimes I feel as if life will never slow down.
I am so tired and worn out. I often wonder how I don't
break down. I go to work, school, laundry, dishes, and do
homework. Ah life . . . I do enjoy spending time with
Donnie, and seeing his smiling face. I just wish that
I could take a day for myself and just relax and not have
to do anything. TTFN :)

Summer Softball/School

The last couple of weeks I have been playing on a co-ed softball league with Paige(She works with Donnie at Radioshack). The first game was awesome, and we won by a point. I didn't ever score that game but I did hit the ball several times. I have been playing first base which I am not used to at ALL. I always played short stop, so I am trying to learn all the techniques of a first baseman. The second game was so much fun. I hit the ball about 4 times, and I scored once. I was running to second base and had the instinct to slide so I did, BAD IDEA! I tore my leg up pretty good. We play at Barnes Park which is super nice. We did win the second game as well!

My leg after the game!

My friend Paige and I!

School has started once again. I must say that I love fall semester a lot more than spring semester. I am really enjoying all of my classes so far. I have one class up on Campus with Randy Chatelin who is an awesome teacher it is the Marriage 1400 class. I think I am going to learn a lot in that class. I am also taking Sociology, Human Behavior(In this class I have to write a book on myself, hope it goes well), and Personal Finance. I hope that I enjoy all these classes. I am thinking I will. I have my associates so now I need to figure out what I am going into. I am thinking family studies, but am not totally positive. All I know is I really want to help people. Well I better be heading to bed! TTFN :)

Well the house hunt might finally be over!!! We have two offers in on houses in Roy! We are ubber excited!I know that patience is something that we are taught to have our entire lives, but lets be honest is anyone ever patient!! :) I don't really know what house I like the best. They both have things about them that I love. The first house is up by Lakeview elementary and has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We fell in love with it because of the basement! We absolutely love the basement. It has a nice side yard, and a little backyard. The second house is down by the posse grounds in lower Roy! We love this housebecause it is a newer area, and feels really comfortable. This house has 3 finished bedrooms, and 1 bathroom.(That is a little downer) Down in the living room there is another room that isn't finished, and we could make it a play room and add a bathroom. They are both short sale homes, but are moving along quickly. We will decide which house we went depending on which bank gets back to us sooner. This is all such a dream to me. We have worked so hard for everything we have, and to think that we will own a house one day soon is a dream come true. I wish I had pictures of both of them so you could all tell me what you think! I will work on getting pictures.

We have been working on selling my wedding dress. It is sad, but at the same time I know someone else can enjoy it. I don't want it just to sit in my closet. I have tons of pictures of it anyways!!! :) I want to post a cute picture of my Bubba, and I on our wedding day!

Last night we went to the batting cages with one of Donnie's employee's and it was so much fun! Paige was pretty good at hitting, and it was just fun to joke around with each other. Donnie on the other hand wasn't to good at the beginning (could have been that he did fast baseball when he should have started out with slow) I love him though!! :) It was a great night, thanks Paige!! Be waiting for another post soon!! TTFN

LIFE :)

I always feel like I am spinning out of control trying to get everything done. School just ended last week for 2 weeks!! :) YIPEE!! No more studying, and doing homework! Donnie is going to take the fall semester off, but I am going to keep plucking along. Over the 24th of July we went down to St. George with my family. It was so nice to get away from the world, and just enjoy RELAXATION. We got to go shopping, swimming, eat good food, and sleep in. Last weekend we were able to go up to Logan and visit Jake and Kylee. It was so much fun!! I have some picture's I need to post soon, but for now you will have to wait! Tata

4th of July

There is something about the 4th of July that is so much fun. Families are getting together, barbecues are being had, sparklers are being lit and fireworks are being displayed. Patriotism is in the air across the country.

We spent the 4th (really the 3rd) in Clearfield with our families. We played some card games, reading books, and a little volleyball. The area was crowded so Jessica and Krysta (Jess' little sister) were often hitting the ball into other people. After it started to get dark we all settled down, "deer nuts" and all. Donnie took some pictures of the fireworks and we said our "oohs" and "aahs." After they were all over it was a race to clean up, only to wait in line for a half hour.

The funniest thing happened though, we were walking to the car and Jess turned to a couple hugging and said "see you guys later" then immediately turned to Donnie and said "they are not part of our group" LOL!!! We had to hurry a little quicker to get to the car just in case they heard her.

So, on the actual 4th we went over to Donnie's parents' house for a quick FHE. Our lesson was on enduring to the end. Then it was over to Jess' mom and dad's house for a barbecue. It was a ton of fun. We had hot dogs, hamburgers, s'mores, and lots of goodies! We had a great time. We even shared the day with the Leete family and some of their grandchildren. We stayed for a while and after we could eat nor drink no more, we finally left. It was a great time and we are already creating our plans for next year.

Camping

We recently returned from a camping trip with our friends Jake and Kylee Wood. It was a ton of fun. We went to Newton Reservoir, it is north of Smithfield and Logan. One the way there we passed through a small town, Newton. There were only 6 total streets; Main, Center, 100 and 200 N,S,E and W. It was TINY.

Once we got to camp we set up our tent and chairs and Jake started a fire to cook dinner. While the girls talked and Jake finished preparing dinner I went fishing. I caught a tiny little perch (by accident). We had deer steak and corn. It was really good. I know going up Jess was a little worried about eating it because of the possibility of it having a gamey taste to it. We all enjoyed it.

After dinner Jake and I took off for the water and found ourselves in the middle of the reservoir. We heard some slapping around in the water and after checking it out we found a perch. I decided to stick it in my pocket and use the two we had for bait the next day.

Getting to sleep that night was a joke however. Jess and Kylee said that while we were out on the lake some neighbors had started the generator to the camper. It didn't get shut off until 1AM. It was ridiculous. So once we did get to sleep we were all woken up by a dog that would not stop barking. GAH!! Needless to say we were all up at 7:25. Jess and I were in charge of breakfast. FRENCH TOAST!! The excitement didn't last long. I had forgotten to bring the milk, eggs, cinnamon and vanilla. The only thing we had was bread, and even then I didn't grab enough of it. So, we had toast instead. :(

It was now time to play in the water! Jess and I got onto one of Jake's old Seven Peaks double tubes while Jake pulled out the air mattress for Kylee to lay on. We went out and played around in the water for a while until returning to shore for an early lunch. After lunch Jake and I took and old bucket put a rock in it to use as an anchor, and left with the air mattress and used it as our own fishing boat. We were BY FAR the most redneck looking guys on the water at this point, but, we were also the ones having the most fun. We took our homemade anchor and tied it to my ankle and lowered it into the water. After about an hour or so of no luck we decided to return to shore. Once we got there we found Jess asleep in her chair and Kylee reading her book.

We played a couple games of Phase 10 before Jess, Jake and I returned to the water. We crossed the reservoir in our tubes and made the return trip. WOW, it’s a small body of water but it sure does put a beating on your arms and legs from paddling! We got out and played UNO for a while. By now we had all been in the sun far too long (some of us without sunscreen :( ) and quickly cooked our dinner. We packed up and left for Logan where Jake and Kylee live.

The next day was Sunday and Jess and I were burnt. Her legs were red while my entire body, head to toe, was bright red! Jess had a wonderful tan line about 3/4 the way up her arm from when she took a nap in the sun, it is pretty funny. I on the other hand just got plain baked!

Our camping trip was an amazing one
